Automation Testing

Summary: The Test Lead plays a pivotal role in bridging engineering design and quality assurance by collaborating closely with Architects and Engineering teams to interpret engineering prints and design specifications. This individual is responsible for translating these designs into comprehensive, testable requirements and leading the development of robust, executable test suites. The role encompasses end-to-end test strategy formulation, oversight of test execution, and active participation as an Automation Tester. The Test Lead drives quality across the application lifecycle by guiding a team of quality engineers through cross-functional planning, ecosystem integration, and continuous delivery. With a strong foundation in specification-driven testing and automation framework development, the Test Lead ensures high test coverage, efficient defect resolution, and measurable quality outcomes through data-driven testing methodologies. Responsibilities: Partner with Architects and Engineering teams to analyze engineering prints, design documents, and system architecture to derive clear test requirements. Translate functional and non-functional requirements into detailed, testable specifications and test cases. Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, approaches, and plans aligned with project objectives and delivery timelines. Lead the creation and maintenance of scalable automation frameworks, including code structure, build pipelines, repository management, and CI/CD integration. Review and approve test specifications, automation coverage, and test execution results to ensure quality and consistency. Facilitate requirement gathering sessions, stakeholder workshops, and cross-team alignment meetings to drive clarity and consensus. Mentor and upskill junior quality engineers, fostering growth in automation, integration testing, and testing best practices. Troubleshoot complex integration, API, and event-driven system issues, ensuring timely resolution and system reliability. Define and track key quality metrics to evaluate testing effectiveness and continuously improve processes. Requirements: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in automated testing and test leadership roles. Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end automation frameworks from scratch. Strong proficiency in specification-based engineering (SBE) and test design based on technical specifications. In-depth knowledge of integration testing methodologies, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ). Extensive experience with API testing, UI automation (Selenium), and frameworks such as Karate, PiTest, or similar. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git/BitBucket, build tools, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java for test automation and framework customization. 15 years of full-time education is required. Experience in testing event-based applications and distributed systems is highly desirable.
